The Designer Onna, The lady behind The Rubber Dress Creations OnnaLatex.COM established in 2002 as an independant couture designer for corsetry, and bridal gown wears with a leaning toward glamour, burlesque and fetish, for that alternative yet classy look.
Upon her opening, gained immediate accreditations in The Independant on Sunday newspaper; and a published book '05/05' On Creative Entrepreneurs by the Surrey institute of Art and Design. In recognition of starting the business from a small boutique on the Isle of Wight
A Second Boutique and Workshop Gallery Soon opened, featuring her specialisation into Latex designs, with the same glamour from the preceeding outlets, but with her style of mainly fashion but with a fetish couture twist. Latex embellished gowns, through to more chic latex clubwear.
"The efforts i put in relate to the detail of aesthetic, as well as the engineering behind a perfectly tensioned fit. My latex couture makes use of bulked stitched binding for finishing techniques; hand poured latex, for varied pallete and texture; Stitching for it's many applications of applying textures, herringbone gathering, embroidering and embossing techniques; Wadding, and inflation to vary stiffness and drape; Composite reinforcements depending on the technical need in terms of sparring, stiffening, for tails, monofins and wings; Detailed oriental papercut techniques for applique; and glueing of course..."
